Reliable service starts with transparency about the availability of our services. That's why we've completely revamped our Status Monitor. The new platform replaces our existing status pages and provides partners with greater visibility, more detailed information, and, above all, many more ways to automatically stay informed about incidents and maintenance.
Our new Status Monitor has already had its first real-world test. During the recent temporary service outage caused by a PHP security vulnerability, we were able to keep partners informed about the situation and our progress through the new platform. A great practical example of why clear and up-to-date status information is so important.
Until now, we used two separate status pages: one on our website and another within the Partner Portal. Both provided insight into the availability of our services but lacked certain features we wanted to offer our partners. With our new Status Monitor, we're bringing everything together in one central location. The new status page not only features a cleaner, more modern design but also provides more detailed information about the status of our services, scheduled maintenance, and any incidents. We've also improved the incident history, making it easier for partners to review previous incidents, the updates provided along the way, and how they were resolved.
One of the key improvements is the ability for partners to subscribe to status updates themselves. Using the button in the top-right corner of our Status Monitor, you can easily choose how you'd like to receive notifications. You can select notifications via email, RSS, JSON, Webhook, or Slack.
This allows you to decide how you want to stay informed about new incidents, status changes, and resolved issues. For partners who use Slack for internal communication, for example, status updates can be delivered directly to a Slack channel. With Webhooks and JSON, partners can also integrate this information into their own monitoring environments, automations, or status pages. You can also subscribe to specific components, ensuring you only receive notifications about the services relevant to your organization.
With our revamped Status Monitor, we aim not only to keep partners informed more quickly but also to enable them to integrate our status information directly into their own processes and systems. For example, incident notifications can be automatically processed within an internal monitoring system, or the availability of our services can be displayed on a partner's own status page. This means partners no longer need to manually check our status page and can automatically make relevant information available within their own organization. Our new Status Monitor is now available at status.redcactus.cloud. Partners can subscribe to their preferred notifications directly and choose how they want to stay informed.
