One of the main advantages of Bubble Cloud is that it can be fully configured centrally through the web configurator in the partner portal. Until now, however, Bubble Desktop still had to be configured locally. Partners could already clone existing configurations to new users via the partner portal — allowing them to roll out identical environments with just one click — but the management of Bubble Desktop largely remained local (read here what the difference is between Bubble Desktop and Bubble Cloud).
That’s changing now. Selected Red Cactus partners in the Alpha Partner Program will be the first to gain access to configure and deploy Bubble Desktop directly via the web configurator. This functionality has been thoroughly tested — both internally and together with a select group of partners — and the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive.
We’re now expanding the test phase to a broader group of partners within the Alpha Program. After an intensive testing period, this feature will be made available to all partners by the end of the year. This creates one central environment where both Bubble Cloud and Bubble Desktop can be configured: faster, more consistent, and far easier to manage.
Management through the web configurator is entirely centralized, with a strong focus on privacy, data security, and GDPR compliance. Partners with the appropriate roles and permissions can manage configurations but have no direct access to CRM data or customer log files. When temporary access is needed, it can be requested directly through the web configurator — after which the end user, as the owner of the customer data, can grant permission for a limited time. This ensures that data ownership remains clear and transparent at all times.
The web configurator is only accessible after a secure login and runs on a modern infrastructure designed with security, reliability, and control in mind. This provides partners with a solution that is not only practical and user-friendly but also helps them fully comply with privacy regulations.
The web configurator is not only available within the Red Cactus Partner Portal but also as an iframe. This allows partners to integrate the full configuration experience directly into their own portal or application. This way, a single, familiar environment is created for both employees and customers — without having to switch between different platforms.
With this flexibility, partners can maintain their own branded experience while benefiting from all the advantages of centralized Bubble configuration. One environment, one experience – efficient, professional, and completely under your control.
