Add AI transcriptions? Developers can get started now

Developers of telephony platforms, UCaaS solutions, or third-party applications that convert phone calls into AI summaries in text, take note!

With the introduction of the Activity Hub, it is now possible to write AI transcriptions of phone calls in a standardized way directly into the activity timeline of a contact in the CRM. From launch, this feature is already compatible with more than 65 CRMs (out of the 200+ CRMs we support), including HubSpot, Salesforce and Dynamics 365.

Technical options for transcription integration

An AI transcription can enter Bubble in three different ways for processing in the CRM. The primary method is via a webhook, where the following parameters are required: Identifier (User_ID, Internal_number or Email), Call_ID, Phone_number, Direction, Started_at, Answered_at, Ended_at, Subject and Transcription. In addition, the transcription can be retrieved through a polling mechanism, based on the Call_ID. Finally, there is a realtime option, where the transcription is sent directly to Bubble based on an action in the telephony platform.

 

All integration challenges solved in the Activity Hub

Linking AI transcriptions to different CRMs can be quite complex. You need to take into account scenarios such as multiple contacts linked to a single phone number, anonymous or unknown calls, transcriptions that only become available later and therefore need to be stored temporarily, or users who enable or disable transcriptions per call and want to edit the text before it is logged.

In addition, there are technical challenges: setting up and maintaining authentication methods, keeping track of changes in CRM API endpoints, obtaining the right documentation or test accounts from CRM vendors, and dealing with differences in how CRMs technically handle activities and notes.

The good news: we have already solved all these scenarios and technical challenges within the Activity Hub. This means you don’t have to build them yourself, making integration simpler, more reliable, and future-proof — and giving you direct access to a broad range of supported, often certified integrations.
